What’s the weather like?
Late August is the warmest, driest stretch of the year in Sebastopol. Average highs around 80°F, with the warmest days pushing into the high 80s / low 90s. Nights cool off significantly — typical lows around 55°F, occasionally dipping into the low 50s. Almost no rain. Bring a light layer for after the sun goes down.
What should I pack?
- Something nice for the ceremony and dinner (see dress code below)
- Comfortable shoes for the farm — gravel, grass, dust
- A light jacket or shawl for cool evenings
- Anything you’d want for an easy Sunday brunch
What’s the dress code?
Casual and farm-appropriate, with one elevated night.
- Thursday welcome — relaxed; whatever you’d wear to a backyard hang
- Friday rehearsal dinner — easy and comfortable; flowing things, linen, sneakers fine
- Saturday ceremony & dinner — garden formal. Think summer dresses, linen suits, soft palettes — nothing too precious.
- Late-night dancing — bring a layer; evenings can drop into the mid 50s
- Sunday brunch — slow and casual
When in doubt: easy to dance in, breathable, warm enough for a Sonoma evening (it does cool off after dark).
Do I need a rental car?
For most guests, yes. Sebastopol is rural and rideshares are unreliable.
Are gifts expected?
We’ll share more closer to the date — see Registry.
Is there a formal ceremony?
Yes — Saturday afternoon at the farm. Small, warm, family-focused. We’ll also be hosting a celebratory party in Australia within the year for family who can’t make this trip.
How do I RSVP?
Details coming soon — we’ll update this page once the RSVP method is locked in. For now, reply to your invitation or reach out directly.
